Song Da Corporation, formerly known as the Thac Ba Hydropower Site Steering Committee, was established in 1961. Headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the state-owned enterprise has played a significant role in the country's development, particularly in the hydropower sector. The company's key businesses encompass power plant construction, infrastructure development, transportation, industrial plant construction, civil works, manufacturing and supply of construction materials, construction technology, and real estate. Over its history, Song Da Corporation has expanded its operations internationally, undertaking projects in Laos and other countries in the region. The company transitioned to a joint stock company in 2018 and is now primarily owned by the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC).
