Swan & Maclaren, established in Singapore in 1887 as Swan & Lermit, is one of the oldest architectural firms in the country. Originally a civil engineering company founded by Archibald Alexander Swan and Alfred Lermit, it transitioned to Swan & Maclaren in 1892 with the addition of James Waddell Boyd Maclaren. The firm's headquarters is currently located in UE Square, Singapore. Known for designing numerous iconic heritage buildings in Singapore and Malaysia, some of their most notable projects include Raffles Hotel, Goodwood Park Hotel (formerly Teutonia Club), and Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall (formerly Victoria Memorial Hall).
