Vietnam Television (VTV), established in 1970, is Vietnam's national television broadcaster, operating under the direction of the Vietnamese government. Headquartered at Nguyễn Chí Thanh Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, Vietnam, VTV's primary function is to disseminate information reflecting the views of the Communist Party and the government's policies and laws. As a state-owned enterprise, VTV operates with nationwide reach and also broadcasts internationally via satellite and the internet. VTV offers a variety of programming, including news, educational content, sports, and entertainment, across numerous channels. The broadcaster also maintains a robust online presence through VTVGo and vtv.vn, and publishes a bi-weekly magazine. Beyond traditional broadcasting, VTV has expanded into filmmaking, pay TV, and internet media. VTV also manages a network of international bureaus and employs nearly 4,000 individuals.
