Midea Group, founded in 1968 by He Xiangjian, is a publicly listed Chinese electrical appliance manufacturer headquartered in Beijiao, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong. Initially a small workshop producing bottle lids, Midea evolved into a prominent player in the home appliance industry, starting with electric fans in 1980 and expanding to air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and smaller appliances like microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners.
